BIO/RESUME

The desire to be an actor has been and continues to be the greatest passion of my life. After I moved to United States from Poland I thought that my accent would be an obstacle in obtaining that dream. Consequently I threw myself into other arts hoping to find  fulfillment there; I became a photographer and had my work published (She-Documnetalists Polish Women Photographers of the 20th Century) and exhibited in galleries (National Art Gallery  Warsaw, Poland, Film in the Cities Gallery, St, Paul MN) , I recorded and toured with a punk band FUR. Even though I loved those forms of expression I realized that I won’t be happy until I follow this passion that was always with me.  I quit the band and committed myself fully to acting. That was 26 years ago and I never looked back. Since then I have been performing with such renown theater directors as Elizabeth LeCompte with the Wooster Group , Anne Bogart with the SITI Company , Tina Satter, Aleksey Burago and the acclaimed Polish director Krzysztof Garbaczewski. I wrote and performed my own solo show Wonder Bread at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and New York Theaters (59E59 , The Players Club, TNC, Theater Row (Best One Woman Show at United Solo NY) I  won two GrandSlams with the MOTH and have performed my story Guilty (featured on NPR) with the MOTH Main Stage on over 20 stages performing in theaters up to 2700 capacity. I  have been invited to create and perform stories for two events for Joe’s Pub  Women of Letters and This Alien nation.
